Habitat, Leicester High Street
Barberry has recently purchased a four storey, 16,500 sq ft property in Leicester High Street for £3.7million currently being let to retailer Habitat on a 25-year lease.
Leicester is widely regarded as one of the UKs top ten cities with the city centre retail offering in a period of rapid redevelopment including the opening in 2008 of a new John Lewis department store.
In addition the high street is changing to pedestrian only use. This will substantially increase the footfall on the high street especially as it adjoins the city’s principal shopping centre known as the Shires, itself undergoing extension and improvement.
As a result of these significant infrastructure improvements Barberry is confident that the high street property is ideally positioned to be a prime retail location in the future.
