Strong travel connections boost sales of Solihull apartments

Rocksborough Marketing 04

Excellent travel connections are proving to be a major attraction as exclusive apartments at an exciting West Midlands development continue to attract buyers.

Just two months after we unveiled our Rocksborough House development of 27 one and two bedroom contemporary apartments at Olton, Solihull (B92 7HN), 12 have already been sold.

The first phase of nine apartments were released in May 2013 and sold within a month, while three of the nine apartments in the second phase have sold in less than two weeks.

According to selling agents Hunters New Homes, buyers have been impressed by the apartments’ excellent location. They are just 200 metres from Olton Railway Station and within easy reach of Solihull town centre, the NEC, Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham city centre and the motorway network.

Julie Hyde, new homes manager at Hunters, said: “This is a very attractive residential development and, for the first phase, we received interest from investors, first-time buyers and young professionals. We are now also seeing more mature couples, who are looking to downsize, taking the larger apartments for cash. The final nine apartments will go on sale in the early autumn.”

The Warwick Road development, over three floors, includes a large glass atrium providing an attractive communal area, mature landscaped gardens and generous secure car parking. Most of the ground floor apartments benefit from paved patio areas.

Alex Watson, director at Barberry, said: “To have twelve apartments sold just two months after the initial launch is a fantastic achievement, particularly in the current economic climate. We shouldn’t be too surprised, though, as the apartments are in a great location, are larger than most, and are finished to a high specification. They represent excellent value for money and it is clear that buyers have recognised the benefits of buying at Rocksborough House.”

He added: “Rocksborough House has the appearance of a traditional period building with all the benefits of a new build home and the security of a 10-year warranty. The properties are approached through an impressive glass atrium offering a lift access to all floors. Each spacious home is quite individual, with a range of floor layouts, all designed with contemporary fittings to the kitchens and bathrooms. Homes on the ground floor have private patios for those looking for some outdoor space.”

The development has secure parking with electrically operated gates, and an audio entry system and alarms to all ground floor apartments. Each home has at least one parking space and most have two.

Alex added: “Many of the buyers are from the Solihull area and work in Birmingham or London, so the ability to travel by bus, train or car is very appealing. We even have a buyer from Malaysia who will benefit from being within a short drive of the airport.”

Finishing touches include high quality contemporary kitchens with integrated appliances and Karndean flooring, while the bathrooms have sanitaryware and tiling by Porcelanosa, with mirrors and heated towel rails.
