President Jon Bellfield & Chairman Adrian Grainger with Home Secretary Sajid Javid MP

Hagley Hall was resplendent on a beautiful autumn day for Pedmore Sporting Club to hold a celebrity luncheon with Guest of Honour The Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid, Home Secretary and MP for Bromsgrove.

The historic Long Room was packed with 122 PSC members and guests to enjoy a worthy roast beef luncheon in the company of Pedmore Sporting Club Patron, Lord and Lady Cobham.

Sajid Javid spoke for 30 minutes before answering questions gathered from tables and submitted to him by long time PSC member Bob Warman. As a token of appreciation Bob also presented a piece of handmade Stourbridge cut glass, donated by British Glass Foundation Chairman, Graham Knowles.

PSC President Jon Bellfield also presented a donation of £2,000 to the Norton Collection Museum in Bromsgrove, the chosen charity of the Home Secretary.

Pedmore Sporting Club was founded in Stourbridge in 1970 and has over 100 members, mostly based in the Black Country and West Midlands and while attending luncheons and sporting occasions, members also raise funds for those less fortunate. More than £1.5 million has been raised by PSC  and donated in full to local worthy causes.
