Barberry is saying farewell to group director Alex Watson who is leaving the business to pursue his ambitions to run his own property investment and trading company.
Alex joined the business in 2010 and has been a director for the past eight years. During that time he led Barberry’s successful residential investment operations, acquiring and redeveloping numerous properties across the country.
Group director Henry Bellfield said: “We are, of course, sad to see Alex leave, but he has new challenges and opportunities he would like to explore and we all wish him every success.
“Alex’s departure comes at a time when the business has never been stronger. We have created a very strong team and we remain completely focused on driving the business forward, continuing our highly successful development and investment strategy. We’re currently on-site constructing in excess of 825,000 sq. ft and have transacted in excess of £150 million of prime industrial accommodation over the preceding 12 months.”
Alex said: “Having had a very successful and enjoyable decade at Barberry I now look forward to being my own boss and pursuing projects that excite me but also giving me flexibility to spend more time with my family. I wish all at Barberry the very best for the future.”
