Barberry, working in partnership with Coventry University, secured a detailed planning consent on the 2 acre former Royal Mail Sorting Office site for an impressive 1,116 bed student accommodation scheme in March 2016.
Demolition of the former Sorting Office was completed in March 2016 and Vinci Construction are currently on site delivering an initial phase for completion in September 2018 which will provide 725 student beds in a 3 storey plinth with 3 residential blocks rising from the plinth. The largest of which is 50 metres high and comprises 17 storeys.
The development is in the heart of Coventry city centre and will provide a striking contribution towards the city skyline and support both the reinvigoration of the city centre and the continued growth and success of Coventry University.
